‘We shouldn’t be afraid of ageing – it has a lot to offer, especially if, like me , you weren’t that good being young. I had a serious reputation and that overshadowed my natural humour, but now I feel I can indulge it. It’s very relaxing not to be anxious any more.’

‘I always had a New York kind of attitude. I had to be busy, busy, busy but now I want to be involved, engaged – not skimming the surface. I’m looking forward to eating lunch with someone I love without watching the clock. Making a meal and not rushing through it, but actually enjoying the process.’
