Piezoelectric Wafer Active Sensors – PWAS Transducers

This chapter introduces the piezoelectric wafer active sensors (PWAS), which are inexpensive low-profile transducers that operate on the piezoelectric principle. PWAS transducers couple the electrical and mechanical effects through the piezoelectric constitutive equations.
