A large proportion of broadcast, satellite, cable television programmes and corporate conference work is produced using a multi-camera production technique. The programme formats vary from sports coverage, pop concerts, audience discussions, state occasions, game shows to relays of opera and concerts. Multi-camera technique has its own distinct discipline, equipment and operational procedures compared to the single camera, single shot technique practised in film and lightweight video camera operation.
