Glamour, Fashion, and Lifestyle

The word “glamour” means different things to different people, from vibrant to opulent, or just plain luxurious. It comes originally from the Scottish word glamoury, which means “magical.” The term was first used in the 1920s to describe the aura surrounding movie stars, and the first glamour photos were produced to promote the work of Hollywood’s greats. In time, the term came into increasingly common use and the boundaries between glamour and other genres began to blur. Nowadays, any highly styled, elegant, or even coolly erotic photos are included in the catch-all term Glamour Photography.
