Only Pull into a Sprint What Can Be Completed
We already know that a team should not pull a user story or other product backlog item into a sprint if it is clearly too large to be completed. An epic user story that will take months to complete should be split into much smaller pieces so that each can be completed within a sprint. The same is true of user stories that are too vague; if a story is not sufficiently well understood that it can be completed in a sprint, it should not be brought into the sprint. Instead, the team needs to spend some effort learning about the story first.
