Acquisition Agreement
A document to effect legal conveyance of an asset or shares being acquired; essentially a roadmap for all parts of the transaction that reflects the chosen deal structure.
Acquisition Team—External
Advisers outside your business who aid you in the acquisition process; includes investment bankers, legal, accountants, due diligence experts, and M&A consultants.
Acquisition Team—Internal
The team within your company responsible for overseeing the acquisition process; includes the backing of the CEO, an Acquisition Coordinator, and a consensus committee from the functional areas of your business. (Sometimes referred to as the A-Team.)
