THE content base of most web sites usually contains a mix of static content (HTML files, images, etc.) and dynamic content (generated by server-side scripting languages). These server-side scripting languages are used to generate web pages that consist of static content (such as text and images) interspersed with dynamic content (such as tabular data retrieved from a database).
