Terminal Concentrator Setup

In the example illustrated in Figure 6-2, both cluster nodes require console access through a terminal concentrator. The nodes and terminal concentrator require configuring to integrate with the network. The SC2.2 software requires the Xylogics Micro Annex XL 8-port terminal concentrator (Sun Part No: 370-1434-02) to administer the console.

Configuration of the terminal concentrator (TC) requires a serial cable connection (Sun Part No: 530-2152) between port 1 of the TC and the ttyB port of the cluster administrative workstation.

Note

The administrative workstation requires the common desktop environment (CDE) terminal window for communication.
