Transportation involves the movements of materials, spare parts, products and ancillaries from one location to another location right from the vendor/source to the final destination of consumption. Since the customers and market, even manufacturing plants and vendors are very widely scattered geographically within the nation and even in the entire global market; thus transportation plays a significant role in every supply chain of different industries.
