Good Warehousing Practices

Good warehousing practices are at the very foundation of any robust distribution operation, as they help ensure the quality, safety and efficacy of medicines.

These guidelines apply to manufacturers of pharmaceutical products, wholesalers, retailers, hospital pharmacies and e-pharmacies. The same needs to be adjusted in line with the type of activity pharmaceuticals are stored. The Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 and Drugs and Cosmetics Rules 1945 and regulations thereof should be followed for all related activities.
