Abstract:

Ceramic conversion treatment (CCT) is a cost-effective, environmentally friendly new surface engineering technology developed specifically for titanium-based alloys, including titanium and its alloys, TiAl intermetallics and TiNi shape memory alloys. To date, the potential of the new ceramic conversion technology is being realised in the motor sport, automotive, aerospace, biomedical and off-shore oil industries.
