10.1 Overview

The aim when creating a survey is to produce the best possible items that measure the attributes of interest. Even if the items are on target, they must be presented in a format that is readily understandable so that people are motivated and are able to provide the best possible answers. To ensure that respondents interpret items as intended and the survey is presented properly, we pilot test the survey.
