Analyzing and interpreting the Results

When the survey is closed, the data must be analyzed. This chapter looks at analyzing data from open-ended and closed-ended questions and explains how to use simple statistics.

When planning a survey, make sure you allow enough time to complete analysis. How long analysis will take depends on:

The total number of survey questions

The format of the questions; open-ended questions typically take longer to analyze

The number of participants
