CHAPTER 15Speaking and Writing, Two Vital Keys to Communication
The essence of this component of effective communication is threefold: honesty, clarity, and brevity. You can start the interaction in person speaking directly to your toxic co-worker or you can put it in writing via a letter or an e-mail. The choice is up to you. Some people like to do both. The important thing to remember is to be truthful, perfectly clear, and concise so that the person you are confronting gets the message but doesn’t feel insulted, overwhelmed, or confused.
