Consumer demand for sustainable products is increasing worldwide. In fact, one 2009 study—which surveyed consumers in nine countries and interviewed shoppers in seven Chinese cities—concluded that consumers today are buying more “green” products than ever before, particularly those that are also considered to be of high quality.
