Mylo: A Sustainable Upgrade To Leather
Mylo™ is a leather look-alike created by Bolt Threads, based in Emeryville, California. It has devised a system to reproduce what happens under the forest floor in a controlled indoor environment to Mylo is derived from mycelium, the complex latticework of strong underground fibers, to produce a soft, supple fabric is less harmful to the environment than traditional leather with, the company contends, the look and feel of natural leather.
