From today’s perspective it seems that growth rates and deployment for offshore wind will stay
significantly behind these expectations. Cost decreases are much slower than expected. On the
other hand, onshore wind keeps steadily growing, in contrast to slow development of solar thermal
electricity and huge increase of photovoltaic electricity production, which can still be expected
to further decrease costs.
For the heating and cooling sector, the expected changes are not as big as in the electricity sector.
