Software Inc. produces advanced software-based products and systems and is among the top three companies worldwide within its industry. The company offers a wide range of customized software-based products and systems for their customers, which include companies in the media, transport, automotive, and utilities industries. Software Inc. has more than 100,000 employees around the world. The study presented here was conducted at a development unit responsible for the long-term development of one of the software-based systems which Software Inc. develops. The unit employs around 2,200 people, most of whom have a master's degree in engineering while some also hold a licentiate or PhD.
