So when I got on to O'Reilly, I was like a kid in a candy store. There are playlists. There are answers. There's on-demand training. It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
Chapter 2. Folders, Dock & Windows
These days, the graphic user interface (icons, windows, Trash cans) is standard. Mac, Windows, Chrome OS, Android, iOS—every operating system is fundamentally the same, which is to say a very long way from the lines of typed commands that defined the earliest computers.
That’s not to say that the graphic interface hasn’t evolved, though; it has. Herewith: a grand tour of the state of the art in computer desktops—the one in Yosemite.
