Troubleshooting Client Installation
Client installation can be problematic for many reasons; much depends on how you install the client, if the client is reachable, and if all prerequisite software is installable.
When using client push, ensure all prerequisites are met, that the site server can connect to the client machines, and that one of the configured Client Push Installation accounts can reach the machine on its ADMIN$ share. Test by performing a net use
to a client machine using the credentials of the Client Push Installation account. Here are some possible reasons that can prevent the ConfigMgr infrastructure from connecting to the client:
• Incorrect firewall configuration.
• ADMIN$ share is unavailable.
