Managing Revision History

Revision history is another new concept to ConfigMgr 2012. Each time you modify an application (and click OK to save changes), ConfigMgr creates a new revision of the application. This concept allows you to “go back” easily to a previous application configuration state. Technically, when you “restore” a revision, ConfigMgr creates a duplicate of the desired revision, and assigns it the latest revision number. Figure 12.41 shows a sample application revision history for 7-Zip.
