About Distribution Points

Distribution points play a key role in the delivery of packages, programs, endpoint protection updates, applications, software updates, and operating system deployment (OSD). You use DPs to make content available to clients. To prevent clients from traversing networks in undesirable paths, you leverage boundary groups to help specify which DP (or DPs) a client should use. This section walks through the process of creating DPs, DP groups (DPGs), sending content to DPs, and monitoring DP status, as well as advanced configuration and troubleshooting.
