Software Update Points

Software update points are the site role in ConfigMgr that manage, configure, and communicate with WSUS. They are installed on top of an existing instance of WSUS as described in the previous section. A SUP is required to enable software update management functionality; adding a SUP as a role to a site system is similar to adding any ConfigMgr role to any other site system. The next sections discuss SUP placement, configuration, and update configuration.
