Managing iOS Devices
As with Windows Phone 8.x, you must complete certain prerequisites to enroll iOS devices into management, either while creating the Windows Intune subscription or beforehand.
Like other major MDM vendors on the market, Configuration Manager and Windows Intune leverage the Apple MDM framework that is built into iOS. Prior to iOS 4, MDM vendors had to deploy a full MDM agent to the iOS devices to perform the limited capabilities supported at the time.
