Integration Plan and Test Strategy
Abstract
This chapter presents an example of an Integration Plan and Test Strategy based on a real-world aircraft development program. The various phases of test and integration are described, with inputs, process description, outputs, and milestone reviews provided for each phase discussed. Systems engineering works jointly with the Integrated Project Teams (IPTs) responsible, to assure that all procedures are complete. The phases discussed in this chapter are as follows: Subsystem Test and Integration phase, Item Qualification Testing phase, System Integration and Test phase, Installation and Checkout (I&CO) Test phase, System Detail Test and Evaluation phase, and Operational Test and Evaluation phase. ...
