Disconnect from Screen Sharing

You can stop a remote screen-sharing session that uses the Screen Sharing program—regardless of how you initiated the session—by:

  • Clicking the red close button in a remote screen's window

  • Choosing Connection > Close

  • On the remote system, from the Screen Sharing menu on the menu bar, choosing Disconnect System Name (Figure 6-3.)

    A Screen Sharing menu appears in the system menu bar on a remotely controlled computer, from which you can terminate the session.
