So far I’ve said almost nothing about the Keynote document itself—the file that contains the presentation you’ve just made. Because your Keynote file is so important, you should be aware of a few details about how it can be stored, used, and shared.

In this chapter, I discuss the implications of storing a Keynote presentation locally on your Mac versus on iCloud Drive, why and how to password-protect a presentation, and various ways of sharing your presentation with others (in either read-write or read-only form). I say a few words about printing (starting with “please don’t!”) and then wrap up with details on various ways of exporting your presentation (for example, in PowerPoint or PDF format).
