Like a store and a tech magazine rolled into one, the App Store now includes editor curation, inspirational interviews of developers and pro users, as well as tips. Of course, it also still does the workaday task of hooking you up with apps and their updates, with one exception: you can no longer update macOS through the App Store. With so many Mac apps out there, how do you find the good ones? The new App Store settles on an old remedy: let editors help you. The first five sections of its sidebar all have an editor’s touch (Figure 62).
