The Selection Tools

PDFpen’s documentation calls the first group of tools “selection tools,” even though not all of them select objects within the PDF. Here’s what each selection tool actually does:

• Select Text (): Use this tool to select runs of text within existing text blocks for correction or copying (such text blocks are to be distinguished from text imprints created within PDFpen, as described in Objects and Imprints). In some cases—such as when you have the Edit Tool or Scroll Tool selected—PDFpen selects the Select Text Tool automatically for you when you click text within a PDF.
