Solve Data Network Problems
Other than the fact that 3G (and especially EDGE) cellular data networks are generally slower than Wi-Fi, you should have relatively few problems using them—many fewer than with a Wi-Fi connection. Still, there is some potential for trouble. Common problems connecting to data networks include the following:
You want to use 3G but get EDGE instead.
You can't get a data network connection, sometimes even though you can make phone calls.
The connection speed is slower than typical for the network type.
The next two topics offer basic advice for fixing these problems. I am assuming here that shifting to a Wi-Fi network is not an option.
