12. A Methodology for Textual Analytics
The first step in textual analytics is to create the proper integration of data on which to do textual analytic processing. Stated differently, unless the proper integration is built, it is not possible to do a good job of textual analytics. This chapter is a simple methodology that shows how all the different components that have been previously discussed should be blended to create the integration for textual analytics.
The bedrock of unstructured data is text, found in many places—articles, reports, email. The textual data is gathered and integrated and otherwise preconditioned to create the integration of textual analytics.
