TAX RESEARCH USING RIA CHECKPOINT®
This appendix includes basic instructions for locating primary sources of authority using RIA Checkpoint®. Students at schools that do not subscribe to RIA Checkpoint® can use this appendix to gain a general understanding of how to research using a subscription-only tax service.
To get started, go to http://checkpoint.riag.com/ and enter your User Name and Password. Click on “Login.”

Clicking on the Research tab at the top of the screen takes you to the research Search screen where you will usually begin your research.

Anytime you are researching in Checkpoint, you can return to this Search screen by clicking on “Search” near the top right of the screen.
