Manage Your Apple ID and iCloud Account

Your Apple ID is your personal account for accessing Apple’s services, from iCloud to the iTunes store and from FaceTime to iMessage. Your MacBook uses your Apple ID for authentication, authorization, and payments on Apple’s services, so you should make sure that your Apple ID information is accurate. You can do so by working in the Apple ID pane in the System Preferences app.
