Sort Messages
By default, messages are displayed in the message list by date, with more recent messages appearing at the bottom. If this arrangement does not suit you, you can sort your messages by another criterion, such as by sender, by category, and more. In addition, you can create custom search parameters.
Sort Messages
Perform a Simple Sort
1. | At the top of the message list, click Arranged By.

2. | Choose the criterion by which you want to sort the messages.
Outlook sorts the messages by the criterion you select.

Perform a Custom Sort
1. | At the top of the message list, click Arranged By.
|
2. | Click Custom.
The Customize View dialog box appears.

3. | Click Sort.
The Sort dialog box appears.
|
4. | Click the Sort Items By
.
|
5. | Choose the parameter by which you want to sort (here, From).
|
6. | If you want messages to appear in A-to – Z order, click ... |
