My whole life, my eyesight has been terrible. Nearsighted with astigmatism, I've worn glasses as long as I can remember. As a child, I lost my glasses several times. As I waited for a new pair of glasses to be shipped, life was different while everything was underscored by a state of blurriness. Trying to decode the pale chalk lines on the worn out green chalkboards in school was absolutely exhausting. Figuring out who was at the other side of the cafeteria? Impossible.
