How long should a meeting be? After about 90 minutes, meeting effectiveness diminishes. Therefore, no meeting should go beyond 90 minutes without a break.

Should you take a break during a meeting? If you meeting must run for two hours, schedule a break at the end of one hour. The break should be no longer than 10 minutes, but it can be as short as a quick stretch break which gives participants a chance to stand, move around and do a stretching exercise.
