The level of trust in a team may vary considerably. For example, I may have a high level of trust in my teammates, especially if we have been together for a while. I have enough experience with them to be clear about my expectations. However, my trust level may be much lower in my interactions with people from other teams, outside vendors, and support groups.

The more we can expand our circle of trust to include others, the easier it becomes for us to function. If I trust you or your team, I can relax in the knowledge that you will meet my expectations and I will not be disappointed.
