Multi-step builds

There are times when several inter-dependent steps need to be accomplished for a deployable artifact to be produced. TeamCity provides a flexible dependency sequence execution for related builds. We can create such multi-step builds based on our existing Sample – deployment project. The first step would be Unit Tests from Template, and the second one would be Deploy WAR.

  1. We need to create a new build configuration dependent on these two existing steps. Go to Administration | Project-related Settings | Projects. Click on the Create Build Configuration button under Sample – deployment project. Enter a name (Multi-Step Build) and click on VCS Settings.
