Chapter 18
The Mind-Blowing Ichimoku
IN THIS CHAPTER
Diving into an elegant approach that only seems complicated
Engaging your inner chart whisperer
Folding ichimoku into conventional technical analysis
Ichimoku embodies just about every technical concept in this book — trending, support and resistance, pivots, trend reversal, momentum, stops — everything but the kitchen sink. This seems like a lot of performance for a few lines on a chart, but it’s all there if you take the time to study it. Ichimoku takes more time than conventional technical analysis, in part because the mindset is less focused on raw supply/demand and fear/greed, and tries to detect value in a more organic way. This entails some tricky arithmetic. You can find out just what you need to know about ichimoku in this chapter.
