An Introduction to Program Management Using a Case Study
In this chapter, we’ll take the TPM pillars and key management areas introduced in Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 and explore them in more depth. As the book progresses, we’ll go deeper into each of the pillars and the traits that define the pillars. To ensure we are not spending time on context building with new examples each time we dive a bit deeper, I’m going to set up the context in this chapter with the introduction of the Mercury program. I’ll define the goals of the program along with the projects that comprise it as a good analog to starting a brand-new program and related projects.
