Abstract
Building a technology venture is a team sport. At some time during the life of the typical venture, it will need to reach outside of itself for necessary resources. For many ventures, this occurs at inception. The genesis of a venture is often either an idea or a recognition of an opportunity on the part of an individual (commonly referred to as the “founder,” “promoter” or, in technology ventures, “inventor”).
