Storytelling on Your Own

Ididn’t always work by myself. Often, I still don’t, but I’ve learned first hand the challenges and advantages to shooting, writing, editing, and producing stories on my own. Some call it Video Journalism, or being a One-Man Band (OMB). Others call it Multimedia or Backpack Journalism. In truth, even a typical day requires more equipment that you can fit in a backpack (Figure 11.2). Whatever you call it, it means video storytelling by yourself.
