As we have seen earlier you will very seldom be shooting pictures in the same order as they will end up on the screen. On a single-camera shoot you will also want to create the illusion that you have a number of cameras, each shooting the same event from a number of different angles.
To do both successfully you need to understand about eyelines and continuity. The principles of both are fairly straightforward. Eyelines are about making sure that the direction in which one subject is looking and the angle and position from which they are shot match up with the way a second subject you will be cutting to is also looking and will be shot.
