In this lesson, you learn how to use a resumé to select candidates to interview.
There's a job opening in your organization. You're responsible for hiring the right person—someone who will succeed in the job and remain with the organization for the long term.
You've done your homework. You've identified the mandatory success factors for the position and passed that information on to your organization's Human Resources department. The Human Resources department, in turn, announced the opening internally, placed appropriate advertisements in local newspapers, and notified area headhunters.
Suddenly, a deluge of resumés arrives on your desk. Now what?
It's time to begin the selection process.
