Creating a Form from Scratch

The mos t powerful and difficult way to create a form is with Form Design. In Form Design view, you decide exactly where to place each field and how to format it.

The following steps initiate your use of Form Design view; you'll learn more about this view in Lesson 14.

  1. From the Database window, click the Forms tab.

  2. Click the New button. The New Form dialog box appears.

  3. Click Design View.

  4. Select a table or query from the drop-down list at the bottom of the dialog box. This is important! You won't have the opportunity to change your selection later.

  5. Click OK. A Form Design screen appears, as shown in Figure 13.4. You're ready to create your form.
