It's worth its weight in gold, in terms of what it allows me to do.
How it works...
A WaveNet is a ConvNet where the convolutional layers have various dilation factors, allowing the receptive field to grow exponentially with depth and therefore efficiently cover thousands of audio timesteps. NSynth is an evolution of WaveNet where the original audio is encoded using WaveNet-like processing for learning a compact representation. Then, this compact representation is used to reproduce the original audio.
