Temporal Tables

Traditional tables reflect the current state of a table. For example, if you queried an Employee Table you would see all current employees. Temporal tables also allow you to see all current employees, but also provide the ability to see past employees. The concept is that no rows ever get deleted, but instead there are active rows to reflect the current employees and closed rows that can be queried with SQL containing KEYWORDS to bring back past employees also.
