- Remember to thank people for taking the time to participate.
- Have refreshments. Sometimes lunch works well. This serves two main purposes. First, it is a way to thank participants, many of whom have taken time away from their work in order to participate. Second, people tend to be more engaged when there is food. Busy and stressed people perceive a focus group very differently when it is a lunch event, rather than an annoying imposition on already overscheduled work time.
