Every individual on the team not only had a different status but also had very
different personalities, very different agendas, and obviously needed different
styles of motivation. The vice president of the organization and the daughter of
the president did not see eye to eye on this team, and I had to use significant
tact to ensure both were equally motivated. There were some other issues too—
