Specific and measurable•
Because the charter is a living document that the project team will refer
to throughout the lifetime of the project, the information in the charter
should not be vague. A good charter incorporates specific, measurable, and
quantifiable information. Some organization-specific or industry-specific
buzzwords or acronyms can be used as long as all the stakeholders and the
team members can clearly understand the contents.

The charter should link the objectives of the project to the business benefits.
